The Phillipson Pacemaker is a classic three-piece bamboo fly rod with two tips, typically designed to handle a 6- or 7-weight line. Known for its smooth, medium action and dependable strength, the Pacemaker is ideal for larger trout waters and warmwater species fishing. Crafted during Phillipson’s golden era, the Pacemaker series combines functionality with vintage charm—featuring warm-toned cane and durable aluminum reel seat hardware. This rod delivers a strong yet refined casting stroke, making it a favorite among anglers and collectors seeking a versatile, time-tested bamboo rod with American heritage.
NOTE: We believe both tip sections of this rod have been repaired. The bottom two sections of this rod are 34.5", while one tip is 27.5" and the other is 30". This rod does come complete with a sock and tube that we believe are original.
