The Shakespeare 2062 DA is a classic American‑made spinning reel built with the sturdy metal construction and straightforward mechanics that defined Shakespeare’s mid‑century designs. Its 6D drag system provides smooth, dependable resistance, giving the reel a steady, controlled feel ideal for light‑to‑medium freshwater fishing. The DA variant carries the practical, no‑frills engineering the brand was known for—durable materials, honest machining, and a layout meant to be serviced and fished for decades. As a Made in the USA model, it holds strong appeal for collectors who appreciate early domestic craftsmanship and reliable vintage performance.
